SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE: Burglars Steal $4 Million Worth Of Electronics In Brazen Lakewood Heist

More than $4 million worth of electronics were stolen in a major burglary at a Lakewood business earlier this week. The break-in was reported on Sunday at a business located on Prospect Street. According to police, the suspects cut a hole in the roof of the building to gain access, then used a ladder to climb inside.

Once inside, the burglars disabled the building’s surveillance system before making off with a large quantity of electronics. Among the stolen goods were high-end consumer electronics, including Apple products.

The suspects also stole a van that had been parked outside the business, which contained additional electronics.

The total value of the stolen items is currently estimated at $4 million, though police said the final figure is still being determined.

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to contact Lakewood Shomrim at 732-367-1212, Detective Kevin Donnelly or Officer Michelle Lopez of the Lakewood Police Department at 732-363-0200.

  1. I am positive that one of these guys for sure worked inside this warehouse maybe a few months ago. They new the exact spot where to go to disable the security cameras. They knew very well where to find everything quickly. They knew this merchandise very well. They came very well prepared. They had no surprises. They were in and out. No way in the world that they were strangers. Maybe it was a worker that got fired.
For the future when you have 4 million dollars worth of merchandise, I think you need a much better security system, maybe even 2 systems and also it should be connected to the Police dept. right away so the Police can get some images before these bandits disable it.
It costs a little bit more money to have better security, but no. 1 it is a business expense and also I am sure that your insurance will charge less with a top of the line security system.
I guess now the burglars will try to sell the merchandise on ebay.
