A Hachnosas Sefer Torah will be held in Lakewood on Sunday l’iluy nishmas hayeled Shmuel Brog z”l, the 4-year-old who was killed in a tragic car accident in Jackson in May.
Shmuel z”l, the son of Reb Avrumy and Ayala Brog yb”l, was known for his sweet and innocent nature. His parents are both highly regarded members of the Lakewood kehilla, and his father serves as the beloved director at Oorah’s summer camp, The Zone.
The Hachnosas Sefer Torah will begin at 12:00 PM with Ksivas Osiyos at the Brog family home, 27 Nussbaum Avenue. A procession will then follow at 2:00 PM, leading the Torah to its new home at the Kahal Prospect Square-Ashkenaz, located at 317 Blanche Street.
