Lakewood is preparing for two consecutive nights of simcha this Wednesday and Thursday, as grandchildren of three of Beth Medrash Govoha’s Roshei Yeshiva are set to get married.
The back-to-back weddings will celebrate the marriages of grandchildren of HaRav Yerucham Olshin, HaRav Dovid Schustal, and HaRav Yisroel Neuman, bringing two nights of simcha to the BMG and greater Lakewood community.
The simchos are expected to draw large crowds of talmidim, alumni, rabbanim, and members of the Lakewood community joining in the celebrations.
These articles push us towards a chassidishe style that we have rejected for generations.
In our world, the Rosh Yeshiva making chassuna isn’t a thing, we don’t see it as a major milestone. There are many reasons why chassidim see things differently, but bottom line is that we shouldn’t be promoting these kinds of news articles.
