During a routing Friday night patrol, Lakewood Shomrim Shabbos team members came across an unresponsive male on a Lakewood roadway. Members immediately worked to stabilize the patient until the arrival of Lakewood EMS, who transported the patient to the hospital.
Several hours later, members observed a suspicious vehicle. After alerting the police department, the members kept a visual on the vehicle until officers arrived. A subsequent traffic stop resulted in a suspect being detains for possession of a weapon.
Separately, Shabbos members were involved with several dozen requests from community members who needed assistance over the course of Friday night and Shabbos day, including a family that had been inadvertently locked out of their home, and the return of a wallet that members found on Lakewood streets.
