SHOCK VIDEO: Wild Footage Shows Police Officer Run Over By Careless Driver

Terrifying dashcam footage shows a police officer being mowed down by a car while he was stopped and helping another driver.

The incident occurred last weekend, with officials releasing the footage this week. It shows 25-year-old Robbinsville Patrolman Connor Boyle assisting a stranded driver on Route 130 southbound during a rainstorm this past motzei Shabbos.

“There’s a parking lot right there, we’re going to push you into there okay?” Boyle says to the stranded driver before another vehicle comes up, strikes his police vehicle, hits Boyle himself, and then continues on.

Boyle is at first thrown partially onto the hood of the offending driver’s vehicle before falling to the ground.

The police officer was injured, but was released from the hospital on Monday, albeit with crutches. The driver who hit him, identified as a 52-year-old woman from East Windsor, was arrested and is facing multiple charges.
