Serious Crash And Gas Leak Involving Ambulance Shuts Down Cross Street in Lakewood

A serious motor vehicle accident involving an ambulance and a passenger car occurred shortly before 3 PM Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Cross Street and Neiman Road, resulting in multiple injuries and a shutdown of the roadway.

The impact of the crash triggered a gas leak from the ambulance, adding a hazardous element to the scene. Hatzolah of Central Jersey responded, providing immediate medical assistance and transporting the injured to local hospitals.

Emergency personnel from multiple agencies remain at the scene, working to secure the area and address the gas leak.

As a result of the incident, Cross Street has been shut down in the vicinity of Neiman Road. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area, as extremely heavy traffic has been reported throughout the surrounding neighborhoods.
