School Bus Crash on Garden State Parkway Sends 11 to Hospital

A school bus accident on the Garden State Parkway in Lakewood sent 11 people—including eight children—to the hospital this morning, bringing rush-hour traffic to a standstill and prompting a massive emergency response.

The crash occurred around 9:00 AM near mile marker 90 northbound. First responders arriving at the chaotic scene immediately called for multiple ambulances to tend to the injured. Hatzolah was not requested to the scene.

Authorities say three adults and eight children were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Their conditions remain unknown at this time.

The incident has caused a severe traffic backup spanning several miles, with Parkway commuters facing significant delays as emergency crews work to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the crash.
