Rep. Chris Smith visited the home of noted Lakewood askan and CEO of the Orthodox Jewish Chamber of Commerce Duvi Honig to discuss ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians in Ukraine.
Rep. Smith noted that Duvi Honig and his team have set up the first evacuation fleet in the country consisting of a bus and a number of ambulances, and is providing assistance to Ukrainians who have already fled the country, as well as those who are still stranded inside.
Rep. Smith and Duvi Honig discussed further efforts to help Ukrainians and secure more funding for rescue and other humanitarian efforts.
