Harav Elya Chaim Swerdloff shlit”a, the Rosh Yeshiva of Paterson, sustained injuries in a car accident Tuesday night in Lakewood.
The accident took place at the notoriously hazardous intersection of Cedarbridge Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue, a location sadly known in the Lakewood community for its frequent and often severe collisions.
Emergency personnel from Hatzolah responded to the scene and transported the Rosh Yeshiva to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving care. Boruch Hashem, sources indicate that the Rosh Yeshiva has made significant progress since being hospitalized, and is being discharged today, Thursday, with a neck brace, but will require additional physical therapy to fully heal.
