Rabbi Avi Schnall, Mordechai Burnstein Meet With Assemblyman Sauickie

Agudah NJ Director Rabbi Avi Schnall and Jackson askan Rabbi Mordechai Burnstein on Friday met with Assemblyman Alex Sauickie, with the trio discussing various issues pertaining to Jackson.

Specifically, the discussions centered around the funding needs of Orthodox Jewish residents of Jackson and how those needs can be accommodated while not affecting the broader quality of life in the township.

Also discussed were various funding issues, particularly busing, which Jackson is required to provide to non-public school children, of which there are now thousands in the township.

“I am deeply grateful to Assemblyman Sauickie for hosting us today. We believe we are making great strides toward ensuring that all residents of Jackson are properly taken into account in current and future budgets,” Rabbi Schnall said.

“Assemblyman Sauickie is a consummate professional and a man who has devoted his entire life toward bettering the lives of others,” Rabbi Burnstein said.  “He has a broad and deep understanding of the needs that exist in Jackson, and the holes which need to be filled.”

“We are excited to continue conversations with Mr. Sauickie and working collaboratively to enhance – for all residents – the experience of living in Jackson.”
