Lakewood resident and Misameach founder Lipa Schwartz received a signed book from President-elect Donald Trump this past Friday. The signed copy was a follow-up to a personal interaction during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, held just a day before the election, at which dozens of Misameach children and families were in attendance.
At the rally, Lipa presented a book about Misameach’s new Family Center to Donald Trump Jr., asking if he could have it signed by his father. Misameach, a Lakewood-based organization, is known for bringing joy to children and adults facing medical challenges, and the new Family Center represents its expanded vision of providing comfort and entertainment for families in need.
On Friday, Lipa’s request was realized when he received the book, now bearing the signature of the President-elect.
“This is a special moment not just for me, but for the entire Misameach family,” Lipa said. “It’s incredible to see our mission recognized at such a high level.”
