Powerful Rainstorm Could Bring 50 MPH Winds To Lakewood Region Sunday Into Monday

A powerful rainstorm beginning Sunday afternoon and lasting into Monday morning is threatening to bring several inches of rain and strong wind gusts that could potentially cause widespread power outages in the Lakewood region.

Strong southeast winds will increase Sunday night, peaking from near midnight through the early morning hours Monday, especially near the coast. Westerly winds will continue to gust 30-40 mph at times through Monday.
