Polls in the most anticipated election in Lakewood’s history have now closed. Tens of thousands of voters turned out to cast their ballots in the 30th District’s Assembly race.
Early on, Avi Schnall leads his primary opponent, by several thousand votes. The latest tally has Avi Schnall with 13,421 votes, compared to Ned Thomson’s 10,665.

Meanwhile, other races have already been called. Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles waltzed to reelection, and Deborah Fuentes won her first bid to become a new Lakewood Twp. Committee member.
Senator Bob Singer also coasted to a reelection victory.
