Police Seeking Public’s Help In Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash

The Brick Township Police Department along with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred yesterday shortly after 9 am. The crash occurred on Route 35 south bound near the intersection of Bay Blvd.

The suspect vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian and then fled the area south bound on Route 35 into Toms River. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a spruce green 1998-2001 Ford Explorer. The vehicle will have front passenger side damage and a broken front passenger side headlight.

Victim information will not be released at this time.
