The Lakewood Police Department arrested two people on Thursday after a carjacking was reported near the central bus station.
Police say that information they received led them to the Carasaljo Inn at the corner of Route 9 and 5th Street. Believing that the suspect was in one of the rooms, a SWAT team was deployed.
Upon obtaining a search warrant, a 52-year-old Lakewood man was ordered to exit the room. He complied and was taken into custody. An unspecified second individual was taken into custody as well.
