Rep. Chris Smith visited Lakewood on Monday afternoon, attending the groundbreaking of the new Misameach building in Lakewood and meeting town residents at the Rita’s on River Avenue.
Rep. Smith, a stalwart defender of the Orthodox Jewish community in Lakewood and beyond over his four decades in Congress, is running for reelection this November and is facing several Republican challengers, most notably Mike Crispi, a former conservative commentator on the Right Side Broadcasting network.
