The Lakewood and Jackson Police Departments on Monday kicked off their participation in the Police Unity Tour heading to Washington, D.C.
The Unity Tour is heading from Ground Zero in Manhattan to the capital to support families of law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and to raise money for the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
Lakewood First Aid has also joined the tour and will provide riders with medical treatment if necessary.
