Petition Calls on Verizon to Fix Persistent Mobile Service Issues in Lakewood’s Westgate Area

A new online petition is urging Verizon to address chronic gaps in mobile service coverage in the Westgate area, with the petition organizer calling the issue a persistent quality-of-life and public-safety concern.

The Change.org petition, launched by a Westgate resident, says many locals experience unreliable or weak cell signals throughout the development, affecting everything from routine phone calls to access to emergency services. The petitioner argues that dependable mobile service has become a necessity in modern life and that the connectivity problems have caused ongoing frustration for families and businesses.

The petition urges Verizon to install a new cell tower or upgrade existing infrastructure to improve coverage.

  1. I second this motion. But half the people who complain about the issue also strenuously object to erecting a cell tower anywhere in their vicinity. You can’t have it both ways.
