Lakewood Alerts regrets to inform you of the petirah of R’ Yitzchok Kupetz z”l, a talmid of Rav Shneur Kotler zt”l and a longtime resident of Lakewood.
Along with his brother R’ Moshe yb”l, R’ Yitzchok was one of the earliest and most significant financial backers of Bais Medrash Govoha, long before it became the colossus it is today.
Prior to learning in BMG, R’ Yitzchok was a talmid of R’ Elya Chazzan and R’ Abba Berman in Torah Vodaath, where he grew to love and cherish torah v’lomdeha.
R’ Yitzchok unfortunately never married, but his life’s work will echoes on in the koslei bais medrash of BMG.
The levaya is set to take place at the Lakewood Chapel, 613 Ramsey Avenue, with kevurah following in the adjacent bais olam.
He was such a nice person, always with a good word.
