Petirah of Mrs. Adele Abramcyzk A”H, A 105-Year-Old Holocaust Survivor

Lakewood Alerts regrets to inform you of the petirah of Mrs. Adele Abramczyk a”h at the age of 105.

Mrs. Abramczyk (nee Freifeld) was born in Dukla, Poland, in 1917 to a family of Bluzhever chasidim.

A Holocaust survivor, she at first hid from the Nazis in non-Jewish homes, but when her identity was challenged, she stopped hiding and joined her brethren in the ghetto before being sent off to a labor camp.

Following the war, she settled in Boro Park, where she marriee a Radomsker chosid, and together they helped establish the Radomsker shtibel.

She was also very active in the Reb Meir Baal Haness Kollel Polin and N’shei Poale Agudah.

The levaya is scheduled to take place at 10:30 am Thursday at the Lakewood Chapel, 613 Ramsey Avenue. Kevurah to take place on Har Hazeisim.
