An approximately 70-year-old pedestrian was struck and became pinned under a school bus at the intersection of Central Avenue and Glen Avenue at around 8:45 AM Tuesday morning.
Hatzolah paramedics, assisted by Chaveirim of Central Jersey, worked quickly to extricate the patient. Chaveirim provided a jack to lift the bus, allowing rescuers to free the pedestrian.
The injured pedestrian was reportedly in stable condition and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for further treatment.
