Ottimo Cafe in Howell, which has long been under the hashgacha of the KCL, lost its certification last week over a hashkafic – not kashrus – disagreement.
KCL issued a letter stating that Ottimo is no longer under their hashgacha. However, Ottimo is now back under the KCL following discussions between Ottimo’s management and the KCL.
Didn’t pay the bill = hashgacha off.
Now paid – like a tattelle = hashgacha on.
sound like 1140 stuff.
Whole thing is a big joke.
Lakewood = joke
Glad to see that Lakewood alerts stuck themselves into the middle of this and decided what the issue was, and whether it was a halachic issue or not. Maybe you guys should try to stick to what you do, not too well I might add, rather than sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.

What is wrong? A hashgacha made it clear that they require establishments to refuse unseemly activties. I congratulate KCL on showing their sense of responsibility by pulling tge hashgacha, and showing their concern not to destroy an innocent man’s business by reinstating it.
