The 31st annual Ocean County Law Enforcement Memorial Day Observance will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 20 at the Police Memorial at the Ocean County Police Academy in Ocean County Park, Lakewood.
This is a day that we honor the 18 fallen officers from Ocean County that made the ultimate sacrifice. And all peace officers that work tirelessly to keep us from harms’ way.
We also take time to acknowledge the sacrifices made by the families and loved ones of these officers.
Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer will give the keynote address. Ocean County Commissioner Gary Quinn will present the Ocean County Board of Commissioners proclamation.
The Point Pleasant Borough High School Panther Concert Band will perform during the ceremony.
The ceremony, which is hosted by the Ocean County Chiefs of Police Association and supported by a number of Ocean County government agencies, is open to the public.
