Imagine waking up in an ultra-luxurious tent, watching the sunrise over scenic fields as giraffes freely roam just feet away while you enjoy your morning cup of coffee before heading to the state-of-the-art spa. This might sound like an adventure only available in sub-Saharan Africa, but it’s actually coming to Jackson, New Jersey, at the Savannah Sunset Resort & Spa at Six Flags Great Adventure.
Six Flags in Jackson already has a 350-acre safari frequented by many local residents, but it’s now adding a safari resort, which will allow guests to see wild animals up close and personal. The resort is expected to open sometime in 2024, when Six Flags celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The resort – along with a new roller coaster also coming in 2024 – represent the largest investment the park has made in 20 years, according to Six Flags officials.
