Residents in need of medical equipment now have a new resource thanks to the opening of a dedicated medical equipment gemach in Manchester. The initiative aims to make essential mobility and health-support devices accessible to community members at no cost.
The gemach’s current inventory includes a variety of items designed to aid recovery, mobility, and health monitoring. Available equipment includes wheelchairs, walkers, rollator walkers, knee scooters, shower chairs, crutches, orthopedic boots, standard canes, four-pronged canes, and foldable canes. It also offers a blood pressure machine, IV pole, oxygen and heart rate monitor, as well as nebulizer machines and masks.
Community members can borrow equipment by calling, texting, or messaging via WhatsApp at 718-419-0476 or 718-419-0604.
