New Jersey’s Fastest Growing Town Will Surprise You – If You’re Clueless

This news might surprise you – if you’ve been living under a rock, that is. Lakewood has officially been named the fastest growing town in New Jersey, according to a new study by Go Banking Rates based on US Census data.

According to the report, Lakewood’s population has grown by 21.28% over the past year; looking further back the numbers are even more astounding. Over the past 5 years, Lakewood’s population has grown by more than 22%, and over the last 8 years it has expanded by 31.59%.

In New York, the fastest growing town won’t surprise you, either: it’s Kiryas Joel. In the past year, the population has surged by 25.43%, 50% in the past 5 years, and 56.74% in the last 8 years. Not too shabby.

Now, you might think that Kiryas Joel has to be the fastest-growing town in the US over the past year, but it’s actually not. That title belongs to Windsor, Colorado, which saw its population explode by more than 35% over the past year.

Now, if we can only get a Kollel to open up there…
