New Jersey State Police to Participate in Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance International Road Check

Beginning May 17, the New Jersey State Police will participate in a 72-hour high-visibility, high-volume, commercial motor vehicle inspection and enforcement initiative.

Commercial vehicle inspectors from the United States, Canada, and Mexico will conduct North American Standard Inspections of commercial vehicles with an added focus on wheel ends. Wheel end components support the heavy loads carried by commercial motor vehicles, maintain stability and control which are critical for braking.

If you happen to come across one of these roadside inspections remember, if possible, to slow down and move over to allow a safe operating space for troopers to conduct these vital inspections.
