Nesivos, a behavioral health provider serving Ocean County’s Orthodox Jewish community has secured expanded state licensure, allowing it to broaden its treatment offerings as demand for culturally aligned mental health services continues to grow.
Nesivos Behavioral Health announced this week that it has received approval to move forward with adult partial care and intensive outpatient programs, as well as standard outpatient services, at its Toms River facility. The organization already operates adolescent partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming.
The expansion comes after advocacy from Assemblyman Avi Schnall, whom the organization credited with helping advance the licensure process.
The move marks a major step in addressing a persistent gap in accessible, high-quality mental health care tailored to the needs of frum families.
By adding adult-focused programming, Nesivos is also positioning itself to serve a broader patient base with services that include structured therapy, clinical support, and family-centered care.
In a statement, Nesivos expressed appreciation for Schnall’s role in the process, calling his involvement instrumental in helping bring the expansion to fruition.
The new programs are expected to come online in the near term, though a specific launch timeline was not disclosed.
