An extensive, multi-agency investigation into illegal drug distribution in Ocean County has resulted in four arrests and the seizure of narcotics, cash, and a firearm, authorities announced.
Investigators identified two residences and a hotel room in Toms River, as well as a residence in Brick Township, allegedly used by Tyrese Lett, 25, Kylah Parks, 28, Rameek Peace, 38, all of Toms River, and Kyle Murrin, 39, of Brick Township, to store and distribute illegal drugs.
On February 19, detectives established stationary and mobile surveillance at the identified locations. During the operation, officers observed Lett driving in the Lakehurst area with Parks as a passenger. The vehicle was stopped, and both were taken into custody without incident.
Authorities then executed court-authorized search warrants on Lett’s vehicle and the Toms River hotel room. As a result, detectives seized approximately 49 grams of cocaine, 70 grams of crack cocaine, 16 bricks of heroin, morphine, alprazolam, and oxycodone pills, drug paraphernalia, and about $25,000 in cash.
Later that day, investigators observed Peace leaving his Toms River residence near Route 37. He was taken into custody without incident. Search warrants were executed on two Toms River residences, where detectives recovered a KelTec 9mm firearm.
Also found at one of the residences was Moises Martinez, 36, of Toms River, who was charged with being a certain person not to possess a firearm. Martinez was transported to the Ocean County Jail and remains lodged pending a detention hearing.
In a separate but related operation, Brick Township officers executed a search warrant at the residence linked to Murrin. Authorities seized approximately 20 grams of codeine, hydrocodone pills, and drug paraphernalia indicative of drug distribution. Murrin, who was present at the residence, was taken into custody without incident.
Lett was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of five ounces or more of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, conspiracy, multiple drug possession counts, possession of drug paraphernalia, and financial facilitation. He is being held at the Ocean County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Parks faces similar charges, including possession and conspiracy offenses involving cocaine and heroin, along with multiple drug possession counts, paraphernalia, and financial facilitation. She was transported to the county jail and later released under New Jersey’s bail reform guidelines.
Peace was charged with distribution of cocaine, possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy, and being a certain person not to possess a weapon. He remains in custody pending a detention hearing.
Murrin was charged with possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled dangerous substance without a valid prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a nuisance. He was served with a summons and is scheduled to appear in Ocean County Superior Court.
Prosecutor Billhimer praised the coordinated effort of local, county, and federal agencies, noting that the investigation reflects an ongoing commitment to disrupting illegal narcotics networks operating in Ocean County.
