A motorcyclist was hospitalized Tuesday night following a collision on Route 9 in Lakewood.
The crash occurred when a vehicle attempted to make a left turn into the Yapchik parking lot, directly across from the Gourmet Glatt shopping plaza. According to surveillance footage obtained by Lakewood Alerts, the motorcyclist struck the turning vehicle at a high rate of speed, launching him over the handlebars and onto the roadway.
Emergency responders arrived swiftly at the scene, providing immediate care before transporting the rider to a local hospital. While the extent of his injuries was not immediately clear, officials say he is expected to recover.
