A missing elderly patient from a Lakewood nursing home was safely located earlier today following a coordinated multi-agency search effort.
According to officials, Shomrim units were dispatched by the Lakewood Police Department to assist in locating the individual after they were reported missing. Multiple responders mobilized quickly, working in coordination with additional agencies to canvass the area.
As part of the operation, Shomrim’s Drone Unit was deployed, utilizing specialized aerial search-and-rescue techniques to aid in the effort. The individual was ultimately located through these coordinated measures.
Lakewood EMS responded to the scene and transported the patient to a local hospital for evaluation. The individual’s condition has not been publicly disclosed.
