Hundreds of Misameach families were treated to an unforgettable evening of inspiration, music, and pure simcha aboard a four-story luxury cruise ship on the Hudson River, part of Misameach’s annual event that has become a cherished highlight for participants.
Despite rain during arrival, the skies cleared just in time for boarding, allowing families to enjoy a beautiful evening filled with entertainment, dancing, and uplifting energy. The cruise featured a wide range of attractions — hot food, live music, talented singers, jugglers, clowns, crafts, snow cones, face painting, and a host of other activities that brought smiles to both children and adults alike.
The event was generously sponsored by Itzik and Etah Unger in memory of a beloved family member, with numerous others contributing to food, entertainment, and logistics. Weiss Brothers Catering provided hot suppers, supported by sponsors including Epstein’s Meat, Glatt Bite, Michael Schick, and Positiv lettuce. Klein’s Ice Cream delighted guests with ices, and snacks were provided by Golden Fluff.
Liberty Landing Marina and its staff played a key role in ensuring smooth sailing, while Dr. Zemel and a dedicated medical team were on board for support.
Musical coordination was led by Ace Klughaupt of the Mendy Herskowitz Band, with a star lineup featuring Benny Friedman, Joey Newcomb, Yehuda Green, Gershy Israeli, and child performer Elimelech Fishman. They kept the audience dancing and singing throughout the night, supported by a talented ensemble of musicians and sound technicians.
Children were entertained by Shuey Nadoff, the Kinder Shpiel clowns, caricaturist Yosef Minzes, magicians, and more. Langsam Photography and Emes Productions captured the evening’s memories, all of whom, along with the entertainers, donated their time and talent entirely pro bono.
Rabbi Dovid Goldwasser, a member of Misameach’s rabbinical board, shared divrei chizzuk and was available to offer personal brachos to families on board.
