Mayor Coles and Deputy Mayor Miller Welcome Ice Cream House to Lakewood

Mayor Ray Coles and Deputy Mayor Menashe Miller visited the recently opened Ice Cream House ice cream/dairy parlor to get a live taste of the new popular spot in town.

“When I walked through the doors, I was overwhelmed by the large, vibrant and inviting atmosphere,” said Mayor Coles. “It is obvious why this place is so enjoyed by Lakewood families and children.”

The large colorful shop is located on Route 9 South, near the Lakewood-Toms River border. With three branches in Brooklyn, the Lakewood Ice Cream House branch is the store’s first one outside the Five Boroughs.

“It is great to see how Lakewood was once again chosen as an ideal location in which to establish a successful business,” said Deputy Mayor Miller. “We thank the Ice Cream House for setting up shop in Lakewood, bringing over 30 new jobs into our economy, in addition to lots of smiles and fun.”

“Coming from New York to Lakewood, we were amazed at how pleasant it was to deal with the local government officials and agencies,” said Ice Cream House CEO David Klein. “They were easy to communicate with; showed up on time; and worked together with us to help us open shop and serve our customers within the quickest time frame possible.”
