1,500 Homes and Businesses Without Electricity As Massive Power Outage Hits Jackson

A large portion of Jackson Township is currently without power after an outage struck shortly after 4 pm.

JCP&L says it has crews working to restore the up to 1,500 households that have been affected by the outage. Electricity is expected to be restored for all areas by 7:30 pm.

JCP&L has not provided a cause for the outage, though overloaded infrastructure is the most likely culprit.
