Thousands upon thousands of women filled a massive venue in Lakewood on Wednesday night for the annual N’shei Adirei HaTorah event, an extraordinary evening of chizuk, inspiration and recognition of the vital role women play in supporting lives dedicated to Torah.
The gathering, held at 1600 Avenue of the States, Tower 5, drew women from Lakewood and surrounding communities. Organizers had anticipated a turnout of between 15,000 and 20,000 women, with the enormous crowd filling the venue as the program got underway.
The evening featured the participation of the Lakewood Roshei HaYeshiva shlita, along with addresses from HaRav Dovid Breslauer shlita, Rosh Kollel Zichron Moshe, and HaRav Uren Reich shlita, Rosh HaYeshiva of Ohr Zechariah/Woodlake Yeshiva. Attendees also heard an unforgettable story brought to life by renowned storyteller Reb Yechiel Spero.
The program included live music and a special video presentation highlighting the tremendous role of the N’shei Chayil who stand behind and support their husbands and families in lives centered around Torah and avodas Hashem.
A large-scale safety and traffic operation was in place throughout the evening to accommodate the massive turnout. Central Jersey Hatzolah, Chaverim, Lakewood Shomrim, the Lakewood Police Department, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office and additional agencies were on hand, working to assist with security, traffic, medical coverage and the movement of thousands of attendees in and out of the area.
The massive gathering concluded after an uplifting evening of achdus and chizuk, leaving thousands inspired as they headed home during the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah.
