Great excitement and anticipation is being felt in the Lakewood community in advance of the historic visit and Shabbos with the Viznitzer Rebbe who will be arriving in Lakewood on Tuesday, and spending Shabbos parashas Vayeitzei in Lakewood for the first time since his assumption of the leadership of the Viznitzer chassidus following the passing of his illustrious father, the Yeshu’os Moshe of Viznitz, zt”l.
The Rebbe is known for his overflowing ahavas Yisroel and the magnetic, holy connection felt by everyone with whom he comes in contact, and this will be part of the experience felt by so many in the Lakewood community who will join the Rebbe during the days he spends in Lakewood.
Arriving in Lakewood on Tuesday, where he will remain until after Shabbos, a mass kabbolas panim will be held for the entire city of Lakewood with the participation of Rabbonim and Admorim from Lakewood who will come to greet the great guest.
It will be held at the Skverer Shul, 537 West County Line Road, at 7:00 in the evening. Droshos will be held by local Rabbonim, and the Rebbe himself will likewise address the event. Warm and heartfelt niggunim will be sung by the Viznitzer choir—bringing everyone in to the mood and the spirit of this exalted visit.
“A Viznitzer Shabbos” is a thing of legend. Every aspect of Shabbos is a balm for the heart and soul—especially in the presence of the tzaddik. From the fervent, heartfelt, and melodious davening, to the tischen that are filled with divrei Torah and niggunim—it is a true feast for the neshamah, and the Lakewood community will have the opportunity to experience this firsthand for the first time in a very long time.
The Shabbos will be held in the center of Lakewood, at the Beis Feiga Hall, 350 Courtney Road. This is where all the tefillos and the tischen will be held throughout the uplifted Shabbos—giving the Lakewood community an holy and elevated experience that they and their children will not soon forget.
