Manchester Township Police Department Promotes Veteran Officers to Leadership Roles

In a ceremony held today, Chief Antonio Ellis proudly announced the promotion of several veteran Manchester Township Police Department officers to new leadership roles within the agency.

The promoted officers include:

– Lt. Albert Vega to Captain
– Sgt. Charles Brooks to Lieutenant
– Sgt. Paul Bachovchin to Lieutenant
– Ptl. Michael Guarino to Sergeant
– Ptl. Steven Wendruff to Sergeant
– Ptl. Ryan Saul to Corporal

Mayor Robert Arace administered the Oaths of Office to the promoted officers, surrounded by family, friends, police, and township personnel.

“These officers lead by example and have consistently proven their dedication to this agency and our residents,” said Chief Ellis. “They take an immense amount of pride in putting on the Manchester Township Police Department uniform. I’m proud of the strong foundation of exemplary leadership that is in place within our department.”

The promoted officers have collectively earned numerous awards and commendations throughout their service, including Chief’s Awards, Lifesaving Awards, Exceptional Duty Awards, and Unit Citations.

Chief Ellis expressed gratitude to Mayor Arace and the Township Council for their continued support, saying, “This day would not have been possible without their support. I join with the rest of our department to wish the best of luck and continued success to all of the officers taking on new leadership roles.”
