Manchester Resident Killed After Her Jeep Crashes Into Trees In Lacey

A 72-year-old woman from Manchester Township died Saturday night after her vehicle crashed into trees along Route 539 in Lacey, according to police.

Rosemary Pfluge, of the Whiting section of Manchester, was driving her 2012 Jeep Liberty northbound on Route 539 when it veered off the road and struck several trees, causing the vehicle to overturn. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m.

Emergency responders from the Forked River Fire Department and Whiting Fire Department extricated Pfluge from the wreckage, and she was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River, where she was pronounced dead.
