Manchester Police Chief Antonio Ellis Sworn In as President of Statewide Traffic Safety Association

Manchester Township Police Chief Antonio Ellis has been sworn in as the new president of the New Jersey Police Traffic Officers Association (NJPTOA), the state’s largest professional traffic safety organization. The oath was administered during the association’s December holiday meeting, attended by more than 100 law enforcement officers and traffic safety professionals.

Chief Ellis will serve a two-year term, succeeding Deputy Chief Nickolas Schock of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

A widely recognized expert in traffic safety, Ellis has completed extensive specialized training and serves as a subject matter instructor for law enforcement agencies across New Jersey. He previously held the role of Executive Director for the NJPTOA.

Founded in 1974, the NJPTOA focuses on improving traffic safety through public education, advocacy, and professional development. The organization represents approximately 800 members from law enforcement agencies statewide.

Manchester Township officials thanked Chief Ellis for his ongoing work to promote roadway safety locally and throughout New Jersey.
