Manchester Township police have charged a local man and identified two juveniles in connection with a series of vehicle burglaries reported earlier this month in the Pine Lake Park section of the township.
According to the Manchester Township Police Department, patrol officers responded on Monday, Nov. 10, to multiple reports of vehicle burglaries in the area. The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigations Unit assisted at the scene.
Following the initial response, the department’s Investigations Bureau conducted a follow-up investigation. Officers reviewed surveillance video that captured images of the suspects, which was later released to the public in an effort to identify those involved. Police said tips from the community, along with the surveillance footage, helped investigators identify the suspects and a vehicle connected to the incidents.
Police identified the adult suspect as David J. Museliani, 20, of Manchester. Two additional suspects, a 15-year-old male and a 14-year-old male, were also identified in connection with the burglaries.
Museliani was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary and theft, as well as use of a person 17 years of age or younger to commit a criminal offense. He was released on summonses in accordance with New Jersey bail reform guidelines, police said.
The juvenile suspects will be handled in accordance with New Jersey Attorney General Directive No. 2020-12 and applicable juvenile justice procedures.
Police credited cooperation from residents for helping advance the investigation and said the case was a collaborative effort between law enforcement and the community.
The Manchester Township Police Department reminded residents to lock their vehicles and to report any suspicious activity. Anyone with additional information related to the investigation was encouraged to contact the department.
