Manchester Mayor Rob Arace is making it clear whose side he is on, as Israel battles back following Hamas’ horrific terror attacks that has resulted in the deaths of nearly 1,500 Israelis over the past week.
“In light of Hamas’ recent calls for violence, I stand unwaveringly with Israel, condemning this terrorist organization for the reprehensible acts perpetrated against Israeli and American citizens,” Arace wrote on Facebook on Friday, after a former Hamas leader called for a global day of jihad.
“My heartfelt solidarity extends to those in the Jewish community here in Manchester affected by these events and those fighting for their lives in Israel,” Arace added.
The mayor later shared a link where individuals can donate to support rescue efforts in Israel by United Hatzolah.
