Manchester Mayor Calls For Unity Following Anti-Jewish Hate Crimes

Manchester Mayor Rob Arace released this statement to Lakewood Alerts following the capture of Ron Carr, who spray-painted swastikas on multiple homes and burned down a home that was under construction:

On Tuesday, our community was shaken by a series of disturbing incidents targeting our fellow residents in Pine Lake Park. Hate symbols were desecrated on several properties, and a devastating fire engulfed a home under construction, believed to be an act of arson. I am profoundly grateful and proud to acknowledge the swift and decisive actions taken by the Manchester Police Department in apprehending the suspect, Ron Carr, 34, within mere hours of these crimes.

It deeply saddens me to witness such acts of hatred and harm inflicted upon any members of our community. I do not tolerate hate in any form, and I stand firmly against such abhorrent actions. I remain resolute in promoting unity and fostering an environment where all residents can thrive.

In the face of adversity, let us unite against hate and intolerance. Manchester is a place where compassion, respect, and understanding prevail. We can build a community that exemplifies these values and ensures a safe and welcoming environment.
