Manchester Home Badly Damaged in Morning Fire, Left Uninhabitable

A mobile home in the Pine Acres Manor section of Manchester was left uninhabitable Thursday after a morning fire tore through, causing significant damage.

Fire and police units responded to the structure fire at 9:01 am Thursday, with smoke an flames observed coming from the rear of the home upon firefighters’ arrival.

The home’s sole occupant was able to evacuate prior to firefighter and police arrival, and did not require medical assistance.

The home itself sustained both fire and water damage and has been deemed unsafe by Manchester’s building inspector.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but police do not suspect foul play.
