Manchester Antisemite Sentenced to 7 Years for Arson and Bias Intimidation

Ron Carr, 35, of Manchester, has been sentenced to 7 years in prison on charges of Arson and Bias Intimidation for his role in a series of antisemitic incidents that occurred in Manchester last year.

The incidents began on June 6, 2023, when officers responded to reports of vandalism in the Pine Lake Park area. Fourteen homes were found to have been vandalized with spray paint, including Nazi symbolism.

Early the following morning, officers responded to a structure fire in the same area, which destroyed one home and damaged three others. No injuries were reported.

Carr was taken into custody after being found in the vicinity of the fire, matching the description of the suspect from the earlier vandalism incidents. An investigation revealed that Carr was responsible for both the vandalism and the arson.

Carr has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since his apprehension and will now serve his sentence at New Jersey State Prison.
