Brick Man Brandishes Knife at Walmart, Gets Tackled by Police

A Brick man acting in a threatening and erratic manner at a Walmart in Atlantic City was tackled to the ground by police officers and taken into custody on Sunday.

Police say they were called to the store at around 2:40 pm for reports of a man brandishing a knife inside the Walmart. Officers arriving at the scene found David Brennan, 32, holding a large switchblade. Police said he was “acting threatening and erratic” and refused to obey their orders.

After trying to negotiate with the disturbed man, police decided to take matters into their own hands. Officers tackled Brennan to the ground and took him into custody.

It isn’t known at this time what charges he could be facing.
