John Vincentini, a 64-year-old Ocean County resident, has pleaded guilty to bias intimidation and unrelated charges of possession of an assault firearm and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
The bias intimidation charge stems from an incident on September 5, 2022, in which Vincentini confronted an Amazon delivery driver, made racist remarks, and threatened to shoot the driver. The driver reported the incident to the Lacey Township Police Department, and Vincentini was charged with bias intimidation.
The unrelated charges arose from an investigation into a package of marijuana delivered to a local residence in a re-purposed Amazon box on March 15, 2024. Detectives executed a search warrant at Vincentini’s residence on March 21, 2024, and seized approximately ten pounds of marijuana, 15 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, two assault firearms, and $150,000 in cash.
Vincentini’s wife, Karen, was also charged in connection with the drug and weapons charges and remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail pending trial.
Vincentini is scheduled to be sentenced on July 29, 2024, and faces a term of five years in New Jersey State Prison for the bias intimidation charge, five years with a 42-month period of parole ineligibility for the assault firearm charge, and three years for the narcotics charge. The sentences are expected to run concurrently.
The investigation was conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Bias Crime Unit, Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, and Lacey Township Police Department.
