The Lakewood Resource and Referral Center (LRRC), in partnership with STEPS and Living Smarter Jewish, will host a free Homebuyer Education Event aimed at helping individuals and families prepare for homeownership.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. at Spruce Street Elementary School.
Organizers say the program is designed for both first-time buyers and those planning a future move, offering guidance on the homebuying process, mortgage options, and financial preparation. The evening will feature a live conversation with Rabbi Eliezer Gewirtzman and Eli Langer, focusing on financial responsibility and real-world considerations when purchasing a home.
Attendees will have access to one-on-one consultations with lenders, information on first-time homebuyer mortgage options, and a live Q&A with a housing coordinator. Bank representatives will also be available to discuss financing and offer preliminary pre-qualifications, while LRRC and STEPS housing counselors will provide additional guidance.
Organizers encourage anyone considering buying a home within the next few years to attend. The event is free and does not require registration.
