Lego and Law Enforcement Come Together for an Unforgettable Night in Lakewood

It was a night of smiles, sirens, and snapping Lego bricks as Yehuda Blatter and the dedicated volunteers of Chai Lifeline of Lakewood hosted a standout community event: “Lego with Law Enforcement.”

Families from across the area gathered for the unique program, which blended hands-on creativity with real-world introductions to the men and women who keep the community safe. The Lakewood Police Department’s Community Resource Unit (CRU) and K-9 Unit were on hand, offering interactive demonstrations that kept children—and parents—captivated throughout the evening.

Kids got a chance to build Lego creations alongside officers, watch a thrilling drone demonstration, and enjoy up-close K-9 exercises that highlighted the skill and discipline of the department’s four-legged partners. Officers spent time chatting with attendees, answering questions, and giving children a positive, personal connection to local law enforcement.

The evening was made possible thanks in part to the generosity of community sponsors. BMI Merchandise of Lakewood donated Lego kits for the kids, ensuring every child had the tools to build and imagine. Gourmet Glatt North provided a delicious dinner that kept everyone energized throughout the program.
