Lakewood Shomrim Member Tragically Passes Away at 22

Lakewood Shomrim is stunned and heartbroken over the sudden passing of our Shabbos member Yeltsin Caballero (Unit #57).

Yeltsin was a familiar and beloved face among so many Lakewood residents, having helped hundreds of families and participated in details at dozens of events and in times of crisis and emergency.

In addition to being a Shomrim member, Yeltsin was enrolled in the police academy, with his sights set on become a police officer so as to continue serving the community he loved – and who loved him – for a lifetime.

Lakewood Shomrim expresses it’s deepest sympathies and condolences to the Caballero family. Yeltsin never forgot his mission to better the lives of others, and we will never forget him and his selfless service.

  1. Wow! So tragic to lose a good person so young. Hope it wasn’t a vac*cine reaction, but it’s something worth checking. Condolences to his family.
