Lakewood Shomrim is pleased to announce the launch of its first-ever Aviation Division, which will assist its members and other agency personnel in emergency situations.
The Aviation Unit is the result of months of planning and obtaining FAA certification for the drones and its operators.
As Lakewood Township’s population continues to grow, Shomrim is expanding its operational capabilities to meet the higher demand and need for its services.
The Aviation Division will be primarily utilized in search-and-rescue operations and crime-fighting efforts, though there are numerous scenarios which may require its capabilities.
